Evoke Fusion is proudly joining fusion dances from around the world this November in a Dance for Justice, standing for Consent and a fundraiser against sexual violence. Proceeds from this event, including donations, will be given to a charity that fights against sexual violence and supports survivors. 

Changes at Evoke Fusion: 
There will no longer be a regular class. This event will be a social only starting at 7:30 pm on selected Sundays ( First or Second-ish)

Evoke Fusion is a fusion partner dance event that brings together the dance communities of NYC across genres by creating an event that ignites freedom, creativity, and connection through the alchemy of fusion partner dancing. Musicality, emotional presence, and fine-tuned connections allow dancers to enter into peak experiences through dance. Enter into the magic of fusion partner dance for your new addiction. 

Evoke Dance Socials are for dancers of ALL backgrounds and levels. Fusion partner dancing was born from dancers of all backgrounds getting together and mixing it up. Dancers from WCS, Blues, Fusion, Tango, Zouk, Kizomba, Bachata, Swing & Lindy, Ballroom, and more will find a wide range of music that evokes reaching for different rhythms and figures. Fusion dance has been referred to as the mixed martial arts of social dance. The basic principles of partner dance will ground you in sparking improvisation. 

What is the music like? Acoustic, pop, hip hop, blues, afro-beats, kizomba, classical, instrumental, EDM, R&B, swing, jazz, blues, soul, and Latin dance-based rhythms for fusion from tango, zouk, bachata, salsa.

Who we are is in our dance. We come together as dancers to belong, to play, to be fierce, to be free, to be our authentic selves. We share our stories through our movement and co-create new ones in dance partnership. Evoke Dance is an inclusive space where dancers respect one another, and by virtue of this attain the level of freedom of expression, spontaneity, connection and creativity in a warm and welcoming community.

Dance Studio Accessibility and Policy: 
The Code to get into the building is 1913* on the lower keypad. 
Please message us or go through the bar next door if you are having trouble getting in. 
Please wear shoes for dance- not street shoes. There is a tap for water in the studio, bring your water bottles, or come with water.
